Like humans, our pet dogs have two sets of teeth in their entire life. The young puppy usually has 28 pieces of baby teeth which usually comes out about three to six weeks age. Puppies begin to shed off their baby teeth, and grow its permanent teeth at about four months old. This is when you must start dog teeth cleaning.
One way to maintain the cleanliness of the teeth of your dog is to make the process a fun routine. There are dog tooth cleaning products that are available in the market today that can be easily inserted in the fingertip of the pet owner. One type is a rubber device that has a spike around it. The other product has a brush in the tip, were you can use to brush the teeth of your pet. Always be sure to use toothpaste that is intended for your dog. Be sure to wash the dog toothbrush every time after using.
