Sorry, but to post a picture like this only raises peoples fear and hatred for the pitt bull
I have read so many negative responses to the pitt bull. The pitt bull is not the only dog who has gone after a porcepine and ended up with quills in its face. We have become so focused on the meanness of a pitt bull that we can’t see them for the dog that they are.
I feel bad for the dog and I am disappointed in the owner that they would post such a picture that would again feed on people’s fears and hatred for the breed.

why be so agressive about correcting the dog breed just calm the fuck down and why are people assuming the owner was there? is the dog dormant when no one is around? and chris how the fuck is a porcupine going to attack a dog? run at it and ninja flip backslam into his face?

First off, I feel very sorry for this dog and hope that everything turned out just fine. He most likely was taken care of considering in these pics he seems docile. The worst that could have happened to him is blindness. That would be sad but animals can adapt.

Second off, I really think that it should not MATTER what breed that dog is. What MATTERS is the condition the dog is in. All of you people getting an attitude because of a small mistake should really get over it and hope that the dog is well.

Last of all, the people who keep saying that this dog is dumb and should have stopped or learned after the first quill need to really realize that the altercation probably lasted less than a few moments. Those quills come out easily. One big roll between the dog and porcupine most likely did this. And even if the dog did keep attacking this just shows the tenacity of the bread that all of you admire. It may not be a Pit but the breeds are similar.

I really do hope the dog is well. This post is old but people are still looking at it and going “Holy Crap!”
